PGS training for WASI staffs in Dak Lak province, Vietnam

CABI (International PGS Consultant, Mr. Grant Vining, Value Chain Expert, Ms. Suzanne Neave and Project Coordinator, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan) conducted PGS training for WASI staffs (Mr. Hoa, Mr. Chung, Ms. Huong, Mr. Phe, Ms. Truc and Mr. Ky), worked with Simexco company and visited farms participating in the project
CABI experts conducted training on Participatory Guarantee Scheme (PGS) for WASI staffs on 16th May 2022. The training introduced the PGS approach and its application on crops.

On 17th May 2022, CABI and WASI visited five (5) pepper farmers in EaNing commune, Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province. During the visit, the team listened to problems faced by farmers and discussed on the implemention of CoP and PGS in the commune. In the afternoon, the team visited and worked with Simexco.

Simexco were willing to cooperate with CABI and WASI and agreed to buy safe pepper products from five (5) farms. CABI provided a summary of the working trip and the way forward for further work in Dak Lak and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces.
